I am looking in the Ballymena district for the (c.1846) birth record of David Thompson, son of Daniel Thompson and Agnes (Nancy) née Charters, who were listed in Griffiths Valuation as residing at Drumlane, Tamlaght O’Crilly, which is where Daniel lived until he died, age 85 on 13.11.1896. I cannot find the graves of Daniel and Agnes (d.26.06.1884) either. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks anyway, for replying. The youngest son, also Daniel, was born at Lummenhary in about 1858 or 1859. Would that also be to early to find a record of birth? It’s strange that the parents’ graves don’t seem to be in the Presbyterian churchyard at Tamlaght O’Crilly. I thought that the parents may have been buried in the Ballymena area since there seem to have been relatives living there.

Birth registrations begin in 1864. You would have to find church records for anything that early.

    Many thanks.
